The U-BOATS in the first world war sank
a lot of shipping off the East Coast of Yorkshire (as well as
the rest of the coastline round Britain) They used to
stand off the Humber mouth and also Flambo Head, and wait for
the shipping to pass. They nearly brought England to their
knees.
Coming round Scotland with the "FAME" after
buying the boat. FLeetwood to Hull. Jeb and Eddie
We hit heavy seas on the West Coast of Scotland (Force 11
gales)and nearly sank when a big wave hit us on the beam, it
turned the boat nearly over (it was 3am and pitch black.
