My next stage was breaking away from the Salvage Co (DORINDA)and forming up with friends to salvage wrecks in competition with the Salvage Co (they were not very pleased with us)and at one stage tried to ram us when we were out at sea, luckily the captain of the DORINDA knocked the Salvage Co Rep off the wheel on steered it away from a collision (the "ANT" was only 35ft long)

Working a wreck for Brass, copper etc, Terry who is in the foreground went on to saturation diving in the China seas, and lost his life when in a saturation chamber, the ship hit a typhoon and sank with four divers in the chamber, they could not get them out because they were to saturated. A very sad end to a young life.

Working on Gas Rig Off Holland With Keith Jessop

During the winter months, Terry Dealtry and myself got jobs (Diving) on a gas rig off the Dutch Coast, our job was to place sand bags around the rig legs to stop the rig legs scouring out, (boring work)Keith Jessop of the "EDINBOROUGH" fame (his share was 4 million pounds)was my diving supervisor on the rig.
I feel that he would not have got into salvage diving if it not for me, he was basically into commercial type diving, I was always talking wreck diving and salvage of cargos to him.
